On May 10th 2017, the man of my dreams proposed to me! Rafiki and I had been together 4 years then. I was totally surprised! He had talked to my parents and siblings and planned out everything without my knowledge. This was probably the best-kept secret of our relationship!

MEETING MY MOTHER-IN-LAW
My husband and I come from different countries and cultures. Due to circumstances beyond our control, I was only able to meet my mother-in-law recently. Last year, after Kammy Baby was born, my adorable mother-in-law visited! She brought so much charm, gratitude and sweetness from the Congo!

OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS
2019 Christmas is one I'd never forget! It was our first Christmas as a family! Before we had Kammy Baby, Rafiki and I would spend the holidays with other families and relatives. This year, thanks to God for giving us our son, it only felt right to spend Christmas at home in Iowa.
